This detailed model kit recreates the Arcadia from the classic TV anime Space Pirate Captain Harlock, representing the second ship in the series’ lineage (the skull-bow type seen in Galaxy Express 999: The Movie is the third).

The parts are engineered so that seams remain as discreet as possible, with the hull supported internally for extra strength during assembly. The bridge, packed with intricate detail, is molded as a single piece using a slide mold, as are the barrels of the triple pulsar cannon (main gun), which feature independently moving barrels and a rotating turret. The space buster (rapid-fire gun) also moves vertically, and the ram on the bow can be swapped out with interchangeable parts.

An included display stand features a support pillar design inspired by Tochiro’s gravestone. The kit comes molded in seven colors—blue, dark blue, black, white, red, brown, and clear yellow—minimizing the need for painting.

As a bonus, two Cosmo Wing aircraft in matching scale are included, along with decals to replicate the relief engravings on the bow and stern. The package illustration is by Naoyuki Kato, adding a collector’s touch to this impressive release.
